I'm OK with 2 or 3.
My only issue with the wave system, which I'm going off memory here, was I would check it in the morning, see where I was picking, and if I was later in the day, wouldn't worry about a list because I thought I could makeep the pick once I got off work. The problem was that if people were blowing through picks, my time was moved up as well, meaning my time to pick was also moved up. That was my only issue with the waves.

Most of us who like that system aren't advocating for waves but single pick slots... And in the case of picks being made quickly, your time will not move up though you're welcome to pick early.

Right, we created a mess shifting wave times because the creation draft was multiple rounds. Times would be set in stone for a slotted system. The downside is in theory we could get 12+ hours ahead and have one GM rightfully use all that time, but everybody would get their slotted time.

Bc if my wave or draft slot is at an inconvenient time for me it causes all sorts of problems. I was in the waves during creation draft that were during work and I hated it bc I like being by my comp when I draft. The draft is almost always a night time thing and I can almost always make it so the draft board has never been a problem in my eyes. Im also not one of the people bitching when someone takes 4 hours to pick on the draft board, life happens

Im perfectly happy with the way we do it now personally. The only downside seems to be having more time to pick/trade at the front of the draft but that makes more sense anyway because those picks are more valuable. I think people should just try their best to pick as soon as they can, which happens most of the time anyway.
