San Antonio Spurs Trade: Emiliano Rodriguez Gary Trent Herman Knoche
Seattle Supersonics Trade: Eddie Jones
Analysis: Jesus, San Antonio just completely took Seattle off the hook for signing Jones to a horrendous offer. Not only that, but they actually send a guy with trade potential - Rodriguez - to Seattle in exchange. This, after Seattle told me to send min. contract guys his way to match salaries in a trade. You can't tell me SA couldn't have found a veteran team trying to stock depth that wouldn't have given him something in exchange for Rodriguez. Seattle manages to erase their mistake and takes on a potential asset in Rodriguez to sell off to a contender.
Grade for San Antonio: F- San Antonio claims they get "a decent wing" in Jones - they don't. They get an anchor that will drag them down for season's to come. Jones is possibly good enough to be a 3rd wing in rotation, maybe.
Grade for Seattle: A+ Seattle gets to open cap space for free agent this season. Nice job.

Yeah this looks like a big overpay from the outside without knowing their trade talks. I would have thought EJ would go for a 2nd and expiring, so to get a guy like Erod was a steal for Sonics. Will ERod make a difference? Not sure, but losing EJ is a huge win

Rodriguez serves zero purpose for Seattle in terms of winning, but...he's a chip. A team like Mikawa is looking to add depth to sneak into the playoffs...

You took one on...and you gave away an asset for it, lmao. Worst of all, you call Eddie Jones a 'decent SG'. Jesus. Mexico's Comment: There's nothing to analyze it's the spurs

You've continued to decimate that roster in the same manner I killed teams in Legends. The difference is I've learned from my lesson...calling my posts 'stupid' while providing zero evidence sure is stupid on your part. I have a strong feeling that because you have no picks in the future (and Minny's late 1st is worth nill), no young talent and nothing worth keeping yourself vested for the future, you'll quit. (and I love ya, brother)

I don't care about the deal at all but for the love of all things holy please stop calling Jones a wing that implies that it as at least at some level not a horrible idea to play him at SF

Maybe but it's not like Erod is some all star or that EJ is completely useless.
