Name: Rick Mount
Position: Shooting Guard
Number: 10
DOB: Jan. 5, 1947
Age when drafted: 23
College: Purdue University
Hometown: Lebanon, Indiana
Height: 6'3"
Weight: 175
STRENGTHS:
Rick Mount is possibly both the greatest shooter and overall high school basketball player in Indiana state history. He lit up Indiana high school basketball, led Purdue to a miraculous run in college, and won an ABA championship with the Pacers. He's absolutely money from mid-range and shows some early promise as a 3-point shooter. Indeed, he became one of the top 3-point shooters in the ABA. Numerous stories exist about Mount's off-the-court shooting prowess, and to this day he still teaches shooting techniques to high schoolers.
WEAKNESSES:
Mount, for all his scoring promise, might struggle at the next level with his build and athleticism. He has below average height, strength, and leaping ability for a SG, and it is unknown if he will be able to defend at the next level. He shows some promise with his passing ability, but is still not a PG. Mount will not have a diverse game at the next level and could struggle if he does not get the number of shots he needs to succeed.
