Name: Jared Jeffries Position: Power Forward Number: 1 DOB: November 25, 1981 Age when drafted: 2002 NBA Draft (20) College: The greatest college of all time of course Indiana University Hometown: Bloomington, IN Height: 6'11" Weight: 230 STRENGTHS: Jeffries biggest strength is his ability to be used for his 6 fouls and as a warm body on the court. His biggest strength is probably his defense even though it really is nothing special. He plays good team defense, solid hands to get .7 steals in not a lot of time. Had an assist rate over 10% a couple times which i guess is ok. He was pretty athletic for a 6'11 guy. WEAKNESSES: He is pretty worthless on offense. Never could shoot a good percentage for a big man, was a bad free throw shooter and had no range. For someone who is 6'11 he should have grabbed more rebounds. Does not protect the rim well, only .5 block per game for his career. Really besides crashing the offensive boards he can't contribute in anyway on offense SIGNIFICANT INFO: Lead IU to an upset over #1 Duke for an appearance in the national championship Big Ten Player of the Year (2002) First-team All-Big Ten (2002) Big Ten Freshman of the Year (2001) Current Attributes: INS JPS FTS 3PS HND PAS ORB DRB PSD PRD STL BLK QCK STR JMP STA D+ D- D F C- C- C C- C D+ C- D+ C+ B- B B+ Potential Attributes: INS JPS FTS 3PS HND PAS ORB DRB PSD PRD STL BLK C D+ C- D C C C+ C+ B- C- C C-

Name: Jared Jeffries Position: Power Forward/Small Forward, Center Number: 1, 20, 9 DOB: November 25, 1981 Age when drafted: 20 College: Indiana University Hometown: Bloomington, IN (awesome place) Height: 6'11" Weight: 230 STRENGTHS: Jared Jeffries is a versatile defensive option and smart basketball player. Although he has been a star in high school and college, his best way to succeed in the pro's is as a role player. Jeffries is very intelligent as a help defender and usually knows what spots to be in to help his team succeed. This is probably the best part of his game. Otherwise, he is a good man defender against weaker Power Forwards or slower Small Forwards, and will come away with some steals and blocks on occasion. In college, he averaged over a steal and a block per game, and in the NBA, his per 36 numbers were about the same. Otherwise, he's adequately athletic and fights hard on the offensive glass. WEAKNESSES: Despite Jeffries' success offensively in college, he never quite found out how to score in the NBA. He does not have a post game, although he has a good touch right around the rim. The further he goes away from the rim, though, the worse he is. He shot 26% from 3-10 feet and 23% between 10-16 feet in the NBA, although he nailed long 2s at a decent clip (32%). He does not succeed at all with the ball in his hands and will generally have to be hidden on offense. Although he stands out defensively, it's unclear if that will be enough for teams to give him minutes. Lastly, he is foul-prone and a putrid free throw shooter.
