- Top 5 Scorers
- Top 5 Passers (assist)
- Top 5 Rebounders
- Top 5 Shot Blockers
- Top 5 Ball Thieves (steals)
Sim Nine Individual Statistics
Sim Nine Top Scorers
Kevin McHale (Olympiacos) - 35.5 Points Per Game
- McHale cooled down quite a bit this sim but was still by far the best scorer this sim. That speaks to his ability as a scorer when he can have what for him is only an okay sim but still be a step ahead of the rest of the league. He had some big performances this sim as his team faced off against some of the top teams in the league including Mikawa, New York (2x), and Minnesota and behind his play they were able to go 2-2 in those games. He scored 30+ Points in all games except for one and in his best outing he gave his team 43 points in a game against Mikawa but funnily enough that ended up being one of his team's two losses.
Anthony Davis (Flamengo) - 31.3 Points Per Game
- Another sim, another #2 spot for Anthony Davis who continues to prove that while he may not be Kevin Mchale, no one else in the league is Anthony Davis. He was able to lead his team to a 4-3 sim which continues to help them inch further away from the .500 mark. He had 5 games this sim where he scored at least 30 points. His best performance much like McHale came in a loss where he had 45 points against the Warriors but not far off was his 44 point game against Brose in a victory this sim.
Xavier McDaniel (Madrid) - 30.8 Points Per Game
- A new face to the rankings is Xavier McDaniels who makes a big first appearance after missing every one of the previous list. His team was only able to go .500 but that definitely wasn't his fault. He gave his team 22+ points in every game and even had two 30+ point games and a 40+ point game as well. Continuing the trend of the other top scorers, X-Man's best game came in a loss when he put up 46 points against Moscow.
Kevin Garnett (Timberwolves) - 29.5 Points Per Game
- After falling off last sim, Kevin Garnett is back in the top 5 scorers after a big sim. His team had an okay but not great performance by going 3-3 over the past two weeks. Outside of a 18 and 17 point game this sim, he put up at least 31 points in every outing. His best performance would have to be his 38 point performance against Maccabi. Unlike the four above, his best performance actually resulted in his team picking up a victory.
Kevin Durant (Boca Juniors) - 28.9 Points Per Game
- Durant comes in at #5 with his biggest sim to date which allows him to return to these rankings for the first time since Sim 3. He led his team to a 4-3 record which as mentioned before is solid but not great. He had two rough performances at the opening and closing of this sim but those surrounded some stellar ones for him. Much like everyone besides Garnett, his best game came in a loss but it was definitely a monster game as he had 52 points against the Bulls. He also had a 40 point outing and a bunch of 25+ point outings but those definitely were overshadowed by this huge game.
Just Missing The Cut - Antonello Riva (Trail Blazers), Shaquille O'Neal (Olimpia), Dirk Nowitzki (Olimpia), Greg Oden (Knicks), Dwyane Wade (Wildcats)
Sim Nine Top Passers
Guy Rodgers (Mikawa) - 12.0 Assist Per Game
- Guy Rodgers is on quite a streak right now with 12 straight games of 10 or more assist. 6 of those games came this sim where he was on fire distributing the ball. His best game had to be his 14 assist game with only 3 turnovers. Obviously that could be in reference to two games as he did that on back to back nights against the Wildcats and Eagles so we'll call them both his best games.
John Stockton (Knicks) - 11.5 Assist Per Game
- Stockton moves up a spot from last but still played a bit under his average this time out. Even still he had just one game under 10 assist when he had 7 against Boston. At his best he gave his team 15 assist on back to back nights against Moscow and Harlem.
Jason Kidd (Titans) - 11.0 Assist Per Game
- Kidd made his return to these rankings last time out with a big defensive performance but this time it's his passing that gets the attention. Picking up 10+ steals in four of his team's 7 games he wasn't as consistent as some others but when he was hot you could tell. At his best he gave his team 16 assist but that came in their only loss which was against Vancouver.
Tony Parker (Jazz) - 10.7 Assist Per Game
- Tony Parker is going to get a decent amount of attention on the rankings today as he makes his return to the rankings. Much like Kidd, he lacked the consistency of some of his peers but when he was on it was noticeable. He gave his team 10+ assist in four of their six games and at his best he gave them 13 assist in a game against the Spurs where he only had one turnover.
Chris Paul (Zamalek) - 10.7 Assist Per Game
- Chris Paul is becoming a popular name on this list when discussing passers ever since getting traded to Zamalek. Extremely close to pulling his average over 10 APG due to sims like this that saw him register 10 assist in all but one game. At his best he gave his team 13 assist in a game against Buenos Aires (he also had another 13 assist game with one more turnover).
TJ Ford (Boca Juniors) - 10.7 Assist Per Game
- The final member of this list is TJ Ford who surprisingly is also becoming a familiar name when discussing the league's premier passers. He fell below 10 Assist twice this sim but that still left five games for him to demonstrate his best passing performances. At the top of that list of performances has to be his 15 assist game against Belgrade where he had no turnovers at all.
Just Missed The Cut - Earl Manigault (Istanbul), Rod Strickland (KK Cibona), Nate Robinson (Southern Tigers), Isiah Thomas (Fubon Braves)
Sim Nine Top Rebounders
Kevin McHale (Olympiacos) - 12.9 Rebounds Per Game
- While not as high of an average as last sim's winner, McHale comes in at #1 after a big rebounding sim. McHale has really shown his worth on the boards recently with some big performances and that includes a 19 rebound game when his team challenged the Knicks in New York.
Benoit Benjamin (Regal FC) - 12.7 Rebounds Per Game
- Benjamin makes his 2nd appearance in three sims with another big rebounding performance. After coming in third with a 12.0 RPG sim, he stepped it up a bit this time out and was on fire on the boards only falling below 10 rebounds once. At his best he gave his team 15 boards in a win against Harlem.
Hakeem Olajuwon (Aoshen) - 12.5 Rebounds Per Game
- I hear Beijing Aoshen played pretty good this sim and I think Hakeem Olajuwon was a big part of that. He didnt fall below the 10 rebound mark at all this sim and at his best he gave his team 14 boards in a win against the Sonics.
Andrew Bynum (Eagles) - 11.4 Rebounds Per Game
- Bynum continues his impressive stretch since being traded to the Eagles. Last sim it was his scoring and this time out its his boards, while he did have one game under 10 boards you can't take anything away from his rebounding performance. His best game came on the first day of the sim where he had 17 boards in a win against Moscow.
George Mikan (Brose Baskets) - 11.3 Rebounds Per Game
- Brose didn't have the sim they'd hoped for with their new additions but old reliable George Mikan was still at his best this sim. He fell below the 10 rebound mark once this entire sim and that's out of 7 games. At his best he gave his team 14 boards in a loss to Buenos Aires Boca Juniors.
Greg Oden (Knicks) - 11.3 Rebounds Per Game
- Surprisingly this is Greg Oden's first appearance on these rankings with him seeing restricted minutes this season. The top 5 player didn't start the sim off hot falling below 10 rebounds in his first two games but after that he crashed the boards with a purpose. At his best he gave his team 16 boards in a victory against Fubon.
Just Missed The Cut - Mike Gminski (Boca Juniors), Kurt Thomas (Flamengo), Kevin Garnett (Timberwolves), Tom Heinsohn (Warriors)
Sim Nine Top Shot Blockers
Anthony Davis (Flamengo) - 5.1 Blocks Per Game
- Anthony Davis tops off the block list after an otherworldly shot blocking stretch. He had multiple games with 5+ Blocks and while that makes it tough to pick a top performance you'd have to say his best came against REAL when he had 8 blocks with one foul.
Kevin McHale (Olympiacos) - 4.8 Blocks Per Game
- McHale seemingly told his frontcourt mate "anything you can do, I can do just as good" because after Mutumbo averaged 4.8 BPG last sim, McHale matches him this time out. It was talked about today on Slack but McHale had a huge game against the Knicks where he gave them a triple double including 11 blocks to become the fourth team to beat them this season. The Olympiacos fans have to be excited about this and have to hope that if they meet in the post season he can replicate this type of performance.
Carlos Rodgers (Olimpia) - 4.0 Blocks Per Game*
- This guy played in 2 games this sim and had 7 blocks in one of them so he snuck onto the list. There really isn't much to say here besides him maybe deserving a few extra minutes after this.
Patrick Ewing (Spurs) - 3.3 Blocks Per Game
- Ewing continues his mission to get the Spurs back into the post season with a big defensive sim where the Spurs would go 5-2. He gave them at least a block in every game this sim but his best performance would be his 6 block game against the Grizzlies in a win.
Pau Gasol (Knicks) - 3.2 Blocks Per Game
- Gasol makes his lone appearance after what was a pretty quiet sim for him. Locked in on defense he had some major shot blocking performances with his best being his 5 block games against Piraeus but we'll focus on the one that they won.
Just Missed The Cut - Dikembe Mutumbo (Olympiacos), Chris Kaman (Jazz), Karl-Anthony Towns (Titans), Benoit Benjamin (Regal FC)
Sim Nine Top Ball Thieves (Steals)
Joe Dumars (Madrid) - 3.7 Steals Per Game
- After starting super hot this season, Dumars has fallen off the radar quite a bit. Well he's back now with a big defensive sim after being able to focus on that end thanks to X-Man carrying the load on offense. He had at least 2 steals in every game and at his best he had 6 steals and 0 fouls against Rio but sadly just like X-Man this came in a loss.
Guy Rodgers (Mikawa) - 3.3 Steals Per Game
- After coming in at the top of the list for passing this sim, he comes in at #2 on the other end with an impressive stealing sim. In every game this sim, he gave his team at least 2 steals so much like his passing he was super consistent. His best performance has to be his 5 steal game against Piraeus where he had no fouls in a victory.
Lou Hudson (Boca Juniors) - 2.9 Steals Per Game
- Moving up a spot from last sim, Lou Hudson comes in at #3 this time around on the defensive end. Continually proving that he is one of the league's best defenders, he had some big games on that side but unlike Rodgers and Dumars he lacked the consistency at times. His best game came after his worst as he had 5 steals in a loss to PErth after coming off of a 0 steal game the night before.
Bill Russell (Mikawa) - 2.8 Steals Per Game
- When I saw this I had to ask myself if there was anything this guy couldn't do. To my knowledge this is the first legit big man to ever be on the top 5 steal list and even though we have someone else on here that many would consider a big, Russell is the only one to do it while playing PF/C. He gave his team at least a steal in every game but on most nights went above and beyond, especially on his best night when he had 5 steals against the Generals.
John Stockton (Knicks) - 2.8 Steals Per Game
- These next four are in a four way tie for the fifth spot so I'm going to keep it brief. Stockton continues his shaky defensive performances after leading this list most of the season. At his best he gave the Knicks 4 steals in a victory against Piraeus.
Charles Barkley (Franca BC) - 2.8 Steals Per Game
- The second "big" to find his way onto this list but Barkley makes it while playing the SF spot. At his best he gave his team 6 steals but they'd still fall short in a game against the Warriors.
Gail Goodrich (Warriors) - 2.8 Steals Per Game
- Speaking of the Warriors, their star PG is the third man in this four way tie for #5. His best performance was at the end of the sim when he gave his team 6 steals against Rio in a victory.
Tony Parker (Jazz) - 2.8 Steals Per Game
- The final member of this four way tie is one of the top offensive PGs in the league but he showed he's no slouch on defense either. At his best Parker gave his team an impressive 4 steals in a victory against the Generals.
Just Missed The Cut - Amir Johnson (Maccabi), Andre Drummond (Jazz), Gilbert Arenas (Jazz)
Kevin McHale (Olympiacos) - 35.5 Points Per Game
- McHale cooled down quite a bit this sim but was still by far the best scorer this sim.
