- Top 5 Ball Thieves (steals)
Sim Eight Individual Statistics
Sim Eight Top Scorers
Kevin McHale (Olympiacos) - 42.0 Points Per Game
- McHale follows his worst sim of the season up with arguably his best of his career. Maybe it's just me but it seems that he benefited greatly from the All-Star break. After starting the sim off with another great but not amazing game where he had 27 points, he followed it up with a 44 ppoint game to head into the All-Star break. Following that he came out of the all-star break and put up a season high of 54 points in his best game this sim against Washington. He followed that up with 48 and 37 points respectively in his final two games but that 54 point game was one of the top performances (20th best) in Ultimate ABCA history.
Anthony Davis (Flamengo) - 33.0 Points Per Game
- Anthony Davis once again comes in at the #2 spot but this time he increased his PPG by 3 whole points so it's even more impressive. Off the back of his big sim, his team only lost one game the entire two weeks . Much Like McHale it seems he came out of the All-Star break on fire putting up 34 points in a big win against Minnesota, 28 points in the following game against the tough Taipei, and then in his best game puts up 41 points against KK Cibona. He may not be McHale but he's proving that he is the #2 guy in the league right now.
Shaquille O'Neal (Olimpia) - 31.7 Points Per Game
- Speaking of the top guys in the league if the two above are 1 and 2 then there are only two names that are in competition for that 3rd spot and Shaquille O'Neal is one of those names. He showed that this sim with a huge scoring output that pushed his team to a .500 sim. He wasn't as consistent as McHale or Davis bt when he got hot this sim he put up some monsterous numbers. He hit 30+ points in four separate games with is best being a lost to Mikawa where he put up 44 points.
Hakeem Olajuwon (Aoshen) -28.0 Points Per Game
- Hakeem continues to show his GM why any talks of trading him should be tabled for the foreseeable future. Coming in at #4 this sim he was able to carry his team to a 3-2 sim and despite being snubbed for the All-Star game, he showed that he is still one of the league's premier players. He had his best performances coming out of the all-star break with his best probably being his 38 point game in a victory against Vancouver.
Andrew Bynum (Eagles) - 28.0 Points Per Game
- The final member of this ranking is Andrew Bynum who has just been on a tear since leaving Vancouver. He hasn't given the Eagles as many wins as they'd hope for only going 1-4 for the entire sim but he sure did put up some big numbers throughout. Only falling below 20 once with a 19 point game, he hit the 30 point mark three times with his best performance being a 36 point game in a loss to Olimpia.
Just Missing The Cut - Pau Gasol (Knicks), Rasheed Wallace (Zamalek), Isiah Thomas (Fubon), Jarret Jack (Grizzlies), Al Hoford (Bulls)
Sim Eight Top Passers
Guy Rodgers (Mikawa) - 12.5 Assist Per Game
- Guy Rodgers is back in the top 5 and not only that but he's back at #1 after missing the list completely last sim after a huge passing performance. Not falling below 10 assist in a single game this sim, he did whatever was necessary to get his teammates the ball. At his best he had 17 dimes in a loss to Beijing Aoshen.
Chris Paul (Zamalek) - 12.3 Assist Per Game
- Cairo Zamalek had their best sim of the season and CP3's passing was a HUGE part of that. He seemed like he was motivated this sim to show the voters that they made a mistake overlooking him for the all-star game and if he continues to perform like that then I don't know how that isn't the case. At his best this sim he had an impressive 19 assist game with only a single turnover in 41 minutes of play against Auckland.
John Stockton (Knicks) - 11.3 Assist Per Game
- Stockton takes a bit of a dip this sim all around but he was still pretty damn impressive distributing the ball. Never dropping below 10 assist in any game this sim, he may not have had the highs of other players but he was pretty consistent. His best game had to be his 15 assist game with no turnovers in a victory against the Titans.
TJ Ford (Buenos Aires BC) - 10.5 Assist Per Game
- The Buenos Aires guards definitely stepped up this sim but more on that later. TJ Ford comes in at #4 thanks to a big passing sim which saw him get 10 assist in every game but one. This is the 2nd time he has quietly made my rankings and he's proving himself to be a bit of an underrated guard. His best game came when he had 13 assist against Harlem in a victory.
Eric Snow (Flamengo) - 10.5 Assist Per Game
- I'm going to be talking about Eric Snow a bit but this is his debut on any of my rankings since I've started and it comes after an impressive passing sim from him. He started off a bit slow with a 6 assist game but after that he never fell below 10 assist again. His best had to be in his team's upset over the Timberwolves where he had 15 assist.
Rod Strickland (KK Cibona) - 10.5 Assist Per Game
- The final member of this three way tie and of this ranking is Rod Strickland who made his debut on my rankings two sims ago with a 10 APG sim. This time out he was just a bit better and it gets him back on the list. His team is definitely struggling right now on an insane losing streak but he has been the one bright spot for them. At his best this sim he dished out 16 assist in a loss to Tel Aviv Maccabi. The Zagreb fans have to hope that if he keeps this up, his team will eventually be able to win a few more games.
Just Missed The Cut - Joe Dumars (Madrid), Michael Adams (Generals), Dave Bing (Aoshen), Jamaal Tinsley (Trail Blazers)
Sim Eight Top Rebounders
Anthony Davis (Flamengo) - 15.0 Rebounds Per Game
- Anthony Davis is once again the top rebounder this sim and believe it or not after averaging 14.7 RPG last sim, he was even better this time out. He's been boarding out of his mind this sim and in every game he had at least 13 boards. His best came in the two games where he had 16 boards which were his games against Minnesota and Zagreb.
Draymond Green (Fubon Braves) - 13.2 Rebounds Per Game
- Draymond Green doesn't get much coverage compared to his teammate Isiah Thomas but he was big on the boards for his team this sim. In every game this sim he had at least 9 boards and that was just in one game so if you exclude that he had at least 11 boards in every game this sim. His best would have to be his game against Milano where he grabbed 17 boards in a loss to them.
Fran Vasquez (Aoshen) - 12.8 Rebounds Per Game
- A new face that I'm sure the Aoshen GM will be pleased to see on here is Fran Vasquez who comes in at #3 for us this sim. We talked about his front court mate Hakeem Olajuwon earlier but he was a big contributor for his team this sim as well. He had a single game this sim under 11 boards and at his best he grabbed 19 boards in a surprising victory against Mikawa.
Kevin McHale (Olympiacos) - 12.6 Rebounds Per Game
- McHale didn't just get back on track when it comes to scoring because he was also back in a zone in regards to crashing the boards. He did have two games this sim where he fell below 10 rebounds but in both of those he still had 9 each. He was at his best in a big win against Fubon when he grabbed 19 boards in their 9 point victory.
Kevin Garnett (Timberwolves) - 12.0 Rebounds Per Game
- Garnett drops off a bit with a 12.0 RPG sim after coming in #2 last time out when he averaged 12.6. His team still was able to go 4-2 despite his quieter sim because while he didn't hit the same marks he did last sim, he was still damn impressive. His best game this sim had to be his 19 rebound game in their matchup with Rio and Anthony Davis.
Just Missed The Cut - Al Horford (Bulls), Larry Johnson (Raptors), Joel Embiid (Bulls), Andrew Bynum (Eagles), Pau Gasol (Knicks)
Sim Eight Top Shot Blockers
Dikembe Mutombo (Olympiacos) - 4.8 Blocks Per Game
- Another new #1 as Deke jumps up from the #4 spot last sim to take the top spot this time around. His shot blocking has been unreal these past few games going back to even before the sim. He started the sim off with 6 blocks against Milan, followed that up with his weakest game of 1 block but after the all star break he put together a combined 17 blocks in 3 games. His best came immediately after the break with a 7 blcok game in his victory against Washington.
Joel Embiid (Bulls) - 4.2 Blocks Per Game
- Embiid finds his way back into the top shot blocker conversation this sim which helped his team go undefeated for the past two weeks. He made sure to have at least 2 blocks in every one of his four games this sim. His best had to be the final game of the sim when he had 8 blocks for against Beijing.
Anthony Davis (Flamengo) - 4.0 Blocks Per Game
- Anthony Davis drops from the top spot but he was just as impressive this same as the last with only .2 less BPG this sim. He had at least one block in every game he was involved in and his best performance had to be the first game of the sim where he had 7 blocks against Maccabi.
Bill Russell (Mikawa) - 3.7 Blocks Per Game
- Russell drops one spot from last sim but equaled his block output with another 3.7 BPG sim. He had at least one block in every game outside of the all-star game which doesn't factor into this average and at his best he blocked 7 shots in a loss to Moscow.
Al Horford (Bulls) - 3.4 Blocks Per Game
- The final member of this ranking is another Chicago Bull and someone I don't believe we've seen on these ranking yet, Al Horford. Much like Embiid he was a big part in his team going undefeated this sim with a consistent output of at least 2 blocks in every game. When he was at his best is a toss up because he had three games with 4 blocks and just 2 fouls against Beijing, San Francisco, and Zagreb so we'll just go with all 3.
Just Missed The Cutt - Joe Barry Carroll (Generals), George Mikan (Brose), Kevin McHale (Olympiacos), Ben Wallace (Maccabi), Willie Cauley-Stein (Timberwolves)
Sim Eight Top Ball Thieves (Steals)
Eric Snow (Flamengo) - 3.5 Steals Per Game
- Eric Snow continue his debut sim on my rankings in a big way, knocking off John Stockton take the #1 spot on this list. Joining Anthony Davis as fellow Flamengo's on the ranking he picked up at least a steal in every game. His best game had to be his final game this sim when he had 6 steals in a victory against KK Cibona.
Jason Kidd (Titans) - 3.4 Steals Per Game
- Jason Kidd goes from the second best passer last sim to the second best ball thief this sim. He seems to have really locked in on defense this sim picking up a steal in every game. His best would have to be the first game of the sim where he had four steals with only a single foul. He had two other four steal games this sim but both of those came with increased fouls.
Isiah Thomas (Fubon Braves) - 3.2 Steals Per Game
- IT adds #3 on the steal ranking to an impressive sim for him after not having an appearance on the ranking last sim. He never went below a steal in any game this sim so he was definitely focused on the defensive end. His best game had to be his five steal game against the Grizzlies this sim where he only had two fouls to go along with those steals.
Lou Hudson (Boca Juniors BC) - 3.0 Steals Per Game
- Lou Hudson is finally healthy again and he got right back to where he left off before his injury by dominating on the defensive end this sim. He only played in two games but he had 3 steals in both and in the final game he had 0 fouls while doing it. He'll be one to watch as he plays a few more games.
John Stockton (Knicks) - 3.0 Steals Per Game
- Stockton falls pretty hard this sim with .8 less steals than last sim and lost his #1 spot. But like I said about Hudson, 3.0 SPG is still a dominant performance . He was a bit inconsistent with his steals was his biggest issue this sim with two games with no steals at all. But on the flip side he finished the sim off really strong with a 7 steal game against Belgrade KK Partizan.
Terrell Brandon (Olimpia) - 3.0 Steals Per Game
- Shaq wasn't the only big time performer for Olimpia this sim as Terrell Brandon got it done on the defensive end. He had a similar issue as Stockton with a few games where he wasn't as locked in as others but he had quite a few big games. He actually had two 5 steal games this sim with his best coming as Fubon in a loss.
Just Missed The Cut - Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (Spurs), Michael Adams (Generals), Greg Minor (Titans), Guy Rodgers (Mikawa)
Kevin McHale (Olympiacos) - 42.0 Points Per Game
- McHale follows his worst sim of the season up with arguably his best of his career. Maybe it's just me but it seems that he benefited greatly from the All-Star break.
