- Top 5 Rebounders
- Top 5 Shot Blockers
- Top 5 Ball Thieves (steals)
Sim Four Individual Statistics
Sim Four Top Scorers
Kevin McHale (Oylmpiacos) - 38.1 Points Per Game
- Once again the number one scorer of the sim to the surprise of no one is the soon to be MVP, Kevin McHale. When we talked about his 32.5 PPG sim being a modest one for him, these types of sims are why. I propped every scorer on this list's up for how many times they hit the 20 point mark but McHale decided to take things a step further by hitting the 30 point mark in every game this sim. Not only that but McHale hit the 40 point mark not once, not twice but three times including a 48 point game against Boston and a 47 point game (which was probably more impressive) against Washington.
Pau Gasol (Knicks) - 30.2 Points Per Game
- Someone that I was a bit surprised wasn't on this list was one of the New York big men but after finishing 25th last sim, Pau Gasol shoots up to the #2 spot with a monstrous 30.2 PPG sim. Gasol reassured people that even though he's playing limited minutes this season he is one of the top 3 players in the league right now. He didn't miss the 20 point mark in any game this sim with his lowest scoring output being a 23 point night against Zagreb. Other than that he gave the Knicks at minimum 26 points in every game with his top performance being his 37 point night against the Wildcats.
Tony Parker (Jazz) - 28.7 Points Per Game
- Tony Parker is one of two people to land in the top five in scoring for back to back sims. I'll say what I said last sim, "Talk of his demise has been greatly exaggerated" because after an impressive 25.5 sim last time around he immediately topped that with an amazing 28.7 PPG sim. He was held under 20 points in a game against the Bulls and Emmanuel Mudiay but in every other game he torched whoever was guarding him. Not only did he top 30+ points multiple times but in his best game he dropped 40 points against the Wildcats.
Shaquille O'Neal (Olimpia) - 27.3 Points Per Game
- Shaq was the topic of discussion earlier today because of his low minutes per game but when you see that it only takes him 30.1 MPG to put up 27.3 points then the narrative changes a bit. Now one could argue that Milan going 3-5 this sim means that they should give Shaq a bit more burn and I can't disagree there but you still have to be impressed with the big man's scoring output. He wasn't the most consistent this sim dropping below 20 points in two of his eight games with 18 and 15 point showings but when he was at his best he was unstoppable. He showed that when he dropped 43 points on 19/21 shooting against Moscow in just 32 minutes.
Andrew Wiggins (Timberwolves) - 26.8 Points Per Game
- The Minnesota Timberwolves are on a 7 game winning streak and if you are wondering who has been the catalyst for that run has been then look no further than Andrew Wiggins. Not only did Wiggins play above his average of 22.1 PPG this sim but he did it by putting up at least 20 points in every win/game of this sim. If you want to look closer he only had a single game under 25 points per game so he was extremely consistent this sim. His best game came against Bamberg when he put up 29 points in just 28 minutes of play.
Sim Four Top Passers
Jason Kidd (Titans) - 11.4 Assist Per Game
- Up from #3 last sim, Jason Kidd edges out the #2 and #3 players on this list by .1 APG this sim. Hitting the 10 Assist mark on five separate occasions while never dropping below 8 in game this sim, Kidd definitely helped the Titans offense run smooth as possible. His best performance though was against Beijing Aoshen where there night after a triple double, he gave his team 14 assist with no turnovers.
John Stockton (Knicks) - 11.3 Assist Per Game
- Stockton finds himself in the #2 spot once again after another sim where he averaged 11+ APG. Focusing in on passing (this was not his best sim otherwise), he hit the 10+ mark in every game besides his first two where he had 8 & 9 respectively. He had his best showing in the third game of the sim where he had 13 assist against the Chicago Bulls with only 1 turnover.
Guy Rodgers (Mikawa) - 11.3 Assist Per Game
- Another familiar face from last sim's ranking, Guy Rodgers not only had another strong passing sim but he improved on what he did last sim as well. After a 9.8 APG sim, he decided to show everyone that he isn't just a great passer but an excellent one with 11.3 APG this sim. He hit the 10 Assist mark on five separate occasions (only falling below twice) this sim. His best game was against Istanbul (who seems to give up a lot of big assist games) where he had 14 assist and only 2 turnovers.
Isiah Thomas (Fubon Braves) - 10.7 Assist Per Game
- Dropping down from the top spot, Isiah Thomas comes in at #4 with a still impressive 10.7 APG showing. His streak of 10+ assist games ended at 9 (w/ 3 of those coming this sim) after a 5 assist game against San Francisco before bounding back with an 11 assist game against Cairo to bring his total to 4 games with at least 10 assist this sim. His most impressive in my opinion was definitely his 13 assist game where he had no turnovers against Istanbul.
Tal Brody (Olympiacos) - 10.3 Assist Per Game
- A new face to the top 5 is the second year guard Tal Brody who had a big passing sim compared to the assist numbers he usually puts up. With five games above 10 Assist, he played a big role in Kevin McHale getting going scoring wise this sim. His best performance came with a 17 assist game against Boston where he only had 2 turnovers.
Sim Four Top Rebounders
Anthony Davis (Flamengo) - 13.7 Rebounds Per Game
- He wasn't one of the top scorers this sim but Anthony Davis made sure that his impact was felt when he grabbed an insane 13.7 rebounds per game this sim. Notching 10 rebounds or more in every game this sim, he was a consistent collector of boards you could say. He had one game that stood out amongst the rest though when he grabbed 21 rebounds against the San Antonio Spurs.
Andrew Bynum (Grizzlies) - 12.6 Rebounds Per Game
- He doesn't come in at #1 this time but Andrew Bynum was even more impressive on the boards this sim than last time around where he grabbed 11.8 per game. While this wasn't the longest sim it's impressive that he grabbed at least 10 rebounds in every game except for one where he had 9. His best night came when he pulled down 17 against the Seattle Supersonics and former Grizzlies Arvydas Sabonis.
Alonzo Mourning (Celtics) - 12.2 Rebounds Per Game
- The main man in Boston after CP3 & Embiid were shipped out, Zo makes his debut in my rankings as the #3 rebounder of the sim. Outside of his final game of the sim where he had 7 rebounds, he picked up at least 10 rebounds in every game and often times there were quite a few more. His best came in a game against Piraeus and the likely MVP McHale where he grabbed 16 boards in a loss.
Tommy Heinsohn (Warriors) - 12.1 Rebounds Per Game
- Another new face to this article is Tom Heinsohn who is currently the leading man on the 17-10 San Francisco Warriors. Outside of his first game this sim, Heinsohn made sure to make his pressence felt on the boards with 10+ in the next 6 games. He finished off the sim strong with an impressive 16 rebound game in a loss to CSKA Moscow.
Charles Barkley (Franca BC) - 12.0 Rebounds Per Game
- The former five time (five time, five time) MVP finally makes an appearance in my rankings after being completely absent last sim. While he's known for his scoring Barkley gets a spot this sim for dominating the glass. While he's coming in at #5 here, you can't call 12 RPG anything else, especially when it comes from the SF spot. While he had two games with under 10 Rebounds, he still crashed the boards with a vengeance in his other five. His best being a 20 point rebound night against Milano Olimpa.
Sim Four Top Shot Blockers
Bill Russell (Mikawa) - 4.4 Blocks Per Game
- Mikawa's GM posted the box scores for his win against the Harlem Globetrotters earlier and to just cut to the chase of Bill Russell's best performance, he had 10 blocks in that game with 32 pooints, 12 rebounds, and 9 assists. Now while this is just a list for blocks, I felt it was my responsibility to mention that full statline. He didn't slack off outside of that game either with at least a block in every game and two other games with 7 blocks a piece. It's no surprise he takes the top spot this sim.
Joel Embiid (Bulls) -4.3 Blocks Per Game
- A top dog on the rebounding ranking last sim and a top 2 shot blcoker this sim. Embiid continues to prove his worth with his new team and did so this sim by making sure to block at least a shot in every game he stepped on the court. His best was in a near triple double performance where he had 8 blocks to go along with his 11 rebounds and 16 points against the Jazz.
Alonzo Mourning (Celtics) - 4.0 Blocks Per Game
- After not being on my ranking at all last sim, Zo is all over the place this time around. While his teammate JBC added an impressive 2.0 BPG this sim, it was Zo that offensive players were on the lookout for any time they came into the paint and in every game he made sure to reject at least one of their shots. He manned the paint the best in his matchup with the Warriors were he had 6 blocks and only one foul for the entire game.
Pau Gasol (Knicks) - 3.5 Blocks Per Game
- Last sim's #1 shot blocker falls to the #4 spot but he was still pretty damn impressive if I do say so myself. With no games below 2 blocks he was an imposing presence any time someone put up a shot near him. His best night came when he sent 7 of the Wildcats shot attempts packing.
Andrew Bynum (Grizzlies) - 3.4 Blocks Per Game
- Bynum comes in at the #5 spot after a slightly worse outing than last sim block-wise. He would've been higher if not for a rare 0 block game for him against the Trail Blazers. Outside of that random game he gave his team at least a block in every game with his best performance coming against the Supersonics when he swatted 7 shots out of the air.
Sim Four Top Ball Thieves (Steals)
John Stockton (Knicks) - 4.2 Steals Per Game
- Coming in at #1 for the second sim in a row is John Stockton who seems to be really making his case for defensive player of the year with his aggressive defense. While he wasn't as consistent as the person he tied with this week by only having 3 steals in 3 of his 6 games (he had 2 per game in the other 3), he had much better highs hitting 8 at his best against the Chicago Bulls (also had 6 and 5 in other games).
Lou Hudson (Boca Juniors) - 4.2 Steals Per Game
- Tied for first place is a guy that I was talking about earlier today, Lou Hudson. Out injured now but when he was on the court he used his defense to show everyone why he deserves to be talked about as one of the top players in the league. he had no fewer than 3 steals in every game this sim and topped out at 6 in a victory against KK Partizan.
Kirk Hinrich (Brose Baskets) - 3.8 Steals Per Game
- The first Brose player to make one of these list is point guard Kirk Hinrich who comes in at #3 with 3.8 steals per game. While the rest of his teammates are extremely capable of filling it up offensively, it was Hinrich's pesky defense that helped Bamberg have one of their better sims of the season. With at least 2 steals in every game, he made it his business to harass whoever he was guarding on every possession. He had his best showing when he picked the Regal FC's players pocket's on 6 different occasions in a victory.
Brent Barry (Grizzlies) - 3.3 Steals Per Game
- Another new face for this week and admittedly not a name I was expecting to see despite him being a really good ball thief is Brent Barry. Only playing in four games this sim, he picked up a steal in every game with his best being his 7 steal game against the sonics with just 2 fouls.
Guy Rodgers (Mikawa) - 3.0 Steals Per Game
- Guy once again comes in as the #5 steal guy in a sim but this time he is up from 2.8 steals per game to 3.0. I mentioned that he had a triple double earlier when I talked about him but he also almost had a quadruple double with 9 steals to go with his 30 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 assist against Beijing in victory. Outside of that game he was pretty consistent in terms of steals with at least 1 in every game.
