Hello! I built a power ranking engine that I can update when I drop in new data after each sim. Here are the results after sim #1! The power ranking formula has three components Power Score: An assessment of how dominant a team is, primarily measured by their differential. Road and Home adjusted. RPI Score: Measured by a teams raw winning %, strength of schedule, and strength of opponents schedules Recent Score: A measure of how a team is playing recently over the last 30 calendar days. Road and Home adjusted. The formula may be tweaked over time as I see more data. It has not been changed since I first launched these articles.

The model says these things (super small sample size!)
Remember, this is pure math. Not my bias!
1. Istanbul may not be for real this year? 2. Best team is in Japan! 3. Celtics and Brose Baskets could be in for trouble after big trades 4. Portland, Vancouver, and/or Moscow contenders? 5. What's going on in Rio and Washington?

Can't wait to see these after sim two. Great job putting this out! Right. The fact that Moscow is in the top 10 though. That should not happen. Easy schedule.

Yeah always like these type of power rankings (for obvious reason) so good job with this. Hopefully I can lock up the #1 spot as we move further into the season.

Good job with this. Not too concerned with my slow start, was a pretty tough road heavy schedule, my DC may need a slight tweak defensively though.

I like these but i think your weightings for road/home need to be adjusted.

I like these but i think your weightings for road/home need to be adjusted. more so than they already are? I played 1 home game and 6 road and have a low power score, so it makes me believe road is not weighted accordingly. Or maybe it is, hard to tell on such a SSS and not knowing all the variables.

Or maybe it is, hard to tell on such a SSS and not knowing all the variables. 5th in RPI and 9th in Power and Recent is pretty good. Margin of victory matters. Your 3.3 PPG differential in road games is 10th best in the league. NY, Mikawa, San Antonio, and I have played fewer road games, but we've had an average collective PPG differential of 16.3 PPG in those 11 road games. Each team is outscoring opponents by at least 13.8 PPG on the road so far.
