1. Taipei- Isiah Thomas
ALREADY DRAFTED
2. Toronto- LJ
ALREADY DRAFTED BUT WOW
3. Washington- Dikembe Mutumbo
They have both of their wings in Havlicek and Sprewell already so I see them upgrading the center position to pair with newly acquired Joe Smith.
4. Warriors- Mark Aguirre
Somehow San Francisco gets my number 2 before realizing Toronto drafted LJ. Aguirre should give them an athletic, go to scorer from day one.
5. Beijing- Dave Bing
Gives them an extremely athletic scoring PG that can slide to the off guard spot if necessary.
6. Piraeus- Lou Hudson
Piraeus goes with BPA as he has a roster that needs filling. Hudson is a two way player and has the potential to be a 20+ ppg guy.
7. Lakers- Steve Smith
Steve Smith should be an elite floor spacer with his size and shooting. He gives Lilliard and Russell the room to work with.
8. BA-Archie Clark
He needs a SG so he can move Durant back to the SF. Yes Archie is more suited to play the 1 but there is no on left at 8 that has anywhere near Clark’s talent. Terrell Brandon is an option but 5”11’ is a little short to be a SG.
9. Knicks- Larry Nance
The Knicks don’t need a big but Nance is too good to pass on at this spot and has B perimeter defense with C+ speed. For some GMs, that is enough to play SF.
10. Beijing- Orlando Woolridge
With Bing in tow, they shift their attention to the forward spots and take combo forward Orlando Woolridge. My reasoning for him over Chambers is he is more athletic and better defensively because he can play the SF.
11. Knicks- Rolando Blackman
The guy should be able to get buckets and is a combo wing.
12. Jazz- Tom Chambers
The Tom Chambers free fall ends in NOLA. Pairing Chambers next to Drummond gives Tony Parker another weapon to feed the ball to.
13. Istanbul- Terrell Brandon
Bring in the replacement to Al Cervi and starts a youth movement on the perimeter for them with Brandon and Beal given the keys to the offense
14. Eagles- Jack Marin
With Marin backing up Robinson and Christie, they develop a solid wing core. They job will be to provide enough space for McDyess to do his job down low.
15. Mexico- Cazzie Russell
He gives them an athletic SF that can complement Toney well. While being undersized, his athleticism makes up for it.
16. Taipei- Kelly Tripucka
With there being no centers worth drafting here, I see them getting an insurance policy should RJ not resign. KT should provide some highlight reel plays while giving them solid inside scoring with his leaping ability.
17. Beijing- Danny Ainge
Having already filled the PG and forward spots, I see him grabbing BPA on the perimeter and Ainge is a solid floor spacer and already is filled out defensively.
18. KK Cibona- Buck Williams
The guy is an undersized big that can defend the post and I’m predicting that he rebounds the ball at an elite level.
19. Perth-Greg Anthony
Greg is the best 2 way player of the run of young guards coming. Plenty of other points could be drafted here.
20. Titans- Stacey Augmon
Insurance policy should Tripucka bust.
END OF LOTTERY AND ANALYSIS
21. Real- Rick Fox
22. BA- Billy Owens
23. Piraeus- Frank Johnson
24. Bamberg- Danny Schayes
25. Moscow- Kenny Anderson
26. Knicks- Bobby Philis
27. Warriors- Neil Johnson
28. Moscow- Stanley Roberts
29. Warriors- Luc Longley
30. Celtics- Ronnie Fields
31. Milano- Chris Gatling
32. Mikawa- Randy Brown
33. Flamengo- Darnell Valentine
34. San Antonio- Eric Murdock
35. Jazz- Dale Davis
36. Harlem- Alton Lister
