Name: Eric Bledsoe AKA Mini Lebron
Position: Point Guard
Number: 2
DOB: December 9, 1989
Age when drafted: 2010 NBA Draft (21)
College: University of Kentucky
Hometown: Birmingham, Alabama
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 190
STRENGTHS:
Eric Bledsoe fell in the draft because he lacked NBA size listed at at a generous 6'1, 190 pounds. His career started out slow with the Clippers where he was stuck behind Chris Paul but after signing with the Suns his career took off. Bledsoe has great strength for a small point guard, using his speed and elite athleticism to get to the rim at will. He is a shoot first point guard that can score in bunches. Not foul prone. Good passer who will provide 6-7 assists per game. Great ability to draw fouls where he shoots it very well at 80% for his career. Good rebounder for a guard mainly on the defensive end. Has the ability to steal the ball. Not foul prone.
Good lockdown defender.
WEAKNESSES:
More of a shoot first point guard so another facilitator is desirable beside Bledsoe. No ability to block shots whatsoever. Not one to rack up a ton of assists. Below average shooter for a perimeter player from both mid range and 3 is the only real negative in Bledsoe's scoring arsenal, he is not terrible but inconsistent. Not overly durable playing a full season in only 3 out of 7 years thus far.
