Name: Dave DeBusschere
Position: PF/SF
Number: 22
DOB: August 16th, 1940
Age when drafted: 22
College: University of Detroit - Mercy
Hometown: Detroit, Michigan
Height: 6'6
Weight: 220
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
STRENGTHS: Dave DeBusschere is one of the greatest NBA defenders, having been elected to the All NBA Defensive 1st Team 6 times. He usually guarded PF but also small forwards and was quick and effective in the wing. He was an excellent mid range spot shooter and probably could have hit some 3 pointers had the line existed when he played. He was also a very strong defensive rebounder. Generated about a steal per game which is solid for a bigger forward.
WEAKNESSES: Not a great shot blocker for a PF, but could swat some from time to time despite being 6'6''. Not particularly strong at offensive rebounding for the PF position. His FG% was very low for a forward (43%) as he was undersized inside and lacked strength, and he also liked to take midrange jumpers.
SIGNIFICANT INFO: 8x All Star, 6x All NBA Defense, 1x All NBA, 2x Champion,
