5-4 this sim to hold the 8th. This sim sums up our season. 5-0 run followed by a 0-4 skid.
Sim Highlights: Aguirre- 29.3 PPG Bing- 21.1 PPG 11.0 APG Max Z- 23.1 PPG 8.4 APG
All three finished in the top 25 for scoring and over .400 3P% on the season.
Bing was named to All-League 1st team and All-Defense 2nd team.

52-30, 3rd best BA season. I think we overachieved but after the deals I made this might be our ceiling.
Cavs in the first round, hopefully we can win a series.

2-7 with the big lineup and a bunch of home games. Probably not something I'm going to try again. Bias really struggled at the 2 for most of the sim, but then again, he dropped 38 on Beijing and 35 on Pireaus. Neal Walk also had a really good sim coming off the bench, so that's something I might try again next year if I can find a starting Center.
I liked what I saw out of Matt Harpring. He averaged 7 pts, 3 rbs, and 1 ast in 13 minutes.
We had two award winners, Bias and Walk for All-Rookie 2nd Team. I'm kind of pissed that Bias averaged 22 ppg and his talents weren't recognized, but the league will see soon. Walk, on the other hand, looks really promising.
Bingo Smith made All-D-League 3rd Team, which is pretty cool. He averaged 18/7/3/1 on the year. Not sure he'll have a spot in the rotation next year, though.
Overall, really shitty season, but at least the young guys should improve and we can't get much worse than this.

Because edit post won't work for me...a bit disappointed that Ron Harper was 2nd team All-Rookie. He had a pretty good year with a shit show of a supporting cast.

The year ends with a long losing streak. We finished tied for the 3rd worst record with the Lakers and a coin toss will decide if we get locked into pick 6 or have the best chance at the first pick.

Amazing finish to the season for us after inserting Maurice Harkless back into the starting lineup.
14-2
That was enough for us to sneak into the 1st seed in America despite having our worst record in the past 5 seasons.
Larry Nance was great throughout the year. His last sim saw him put up 26.4 PPG | 9.6 RPG | 3.6 APG | 4.3 BPG while shooting over 60% from the field.
He was able to make able to make the leap from last year's 6th Man of the Year to this year's Most Valuable Player (no one really cares about the details as to how, it's just big to see him win MVP). Great way to finish off his next run because he's definitely going to be in another jersey next season.
Greg Oden put up 26.1 PPG | 12.7 RPG | 2.7 BPG and was just as impressive as Nance this sim imo. Just another great season for him as a Knick. He's been super consistent for us since we brought him in from the creation draft. His PPG numbers since his 2nd year:
25.2 PPG 25.9 PPG 25.2 PPG 25.7 PPG 24.2 PPG 24.3 PPG 25.0 PPG
that's probably the best run I've had with a player since joining ABCA. Hopefully whoever my next franchise guy is, he can get close to that level for that long since this will also be Greg Oden's last season as a Knick.
Kenny Anderson had a much shorter run for us but he's been amazing in his 2 seasons as my 4th option (last year) and 3rd option (this year). On a different team, he's #1 option ready and likely puts up 20+ PPG but he's just been a super efficient 19.8 PPG guy for us with guys like Oden, Nance, and Gasol ahead of him.
It was fun to see the 2003 ABCA Draft have a big presence for awards this year:
Larry Johnson (#2 pick) - 6th Man of the Year Dave Bing (#5) - All League 1st Team Dikembe Mutumbo (#6) - Defensive Player of the Year Larry Nance (#9) - Most Valuable Player Isiah Thomas (#1) - All League 2nd Team
I still remember most saying that this was one of the most unimpressive draft classes we'd have when it was happening and it looked like it could be true when you consider it fell between a (Lebron, Towns, Porzingis, Barry, Wade) draft & a (Shaq, McHale, AD, Zo, Drummond) draft. So it's nice to see it be a surprise success.
This is the 2nd year in a row that i've been matched up with the Spurs as the 8th seed. He has the advantage in the backcourt with Danny Ainge & Penny Hardaway looking great. Should be interesting to see if he can exploit that with Ewing, McGinnis, and Bynum matching up with Oden, Nance, Hakeem.
