Thabo Sefolosha
Right-Handed
Shooting Guard/Small Forward
6'7" 220
22 years old
Vevey, Switzerland
Strengths: Thabo Sefolosha is a stellar defensive player. He is absolutely athletic enough to compete at the ABCA level. Moreover, his long arms and quick hands help him to force steals both on his man and in the passing lanes. He's a glue guy you can stick in the starting lineup to check the opposition's most potent perimeter player. He's a smart role player on both ends, knowing his limits and not wanting to do more than he can. He'll take open shots, move the ball, occasionally drive the lane or cut, play good defense, and work the defensive glass.
Weaknesses: Sefolosha, despite his physical gifts, doesn't have much upside offensively. He's not particularly creative or sound with the ball, struggles to attack the rim at times, doesn't draw fouls, and has a very inconsistent jump shot. In the NBA, he had two respectable seasons from 3 over 40%, but mostly hovered around or below 35%. He's not bad enough on offense to where it seems like you're playing 4-on-5, but it's close.
