Bill Laimbeer Right-Handed Center 6'11" 245 23 years old University of Notre Dame Palos Verdes, California
Strengths: Bill Laimbeer is a bull. The most noticeable part of his game is his toughness and effort. He fears no player and will fight for positioning and rebounds on every play. He is not the most apt post player, but shows some promise on the low block. Laimbeer is a good offensive rebounder, but is perhaps most useful on the perimeter of an offense. He has an effective mid-range jump shot and even shows some promise out to 3-point range. Defensively, though, is where Laimbeer makes his money. While he is not a stopper, Laimbeer excels on the defensive glass, can check his man well in the post, and has decent timing for steals and blocks. Weaknesses: Sometimes Laimbeer fights too much. He is notorious for starting fights and being ejected from games, which is not what you want out of your lottery pick. Offensively, he is not likely to be an option, so teams will have to decide how early they want to select a player with a poor reputation who is also not much of a scorer. Laimbeer is also not an enforcer or a lockdown defender, so while that is his best area, he is far from dominant. Laimbeer appears to have a low ceiling but could still be a starter on a championship team. Additional Info:Played in 685 consecutive games Amassed more total rebounds from 1982-1990 than any other player. 4-time NBA All-Star Current:
