Schedule for the Rest of the Creation Draft (UPDATE 9/13)

Hi everybody as we get into the 2nd round of the draft we are going to a schedule moving forward. Each round will have it's own thread put up in the draft forum but here is the basic deals.
There will be a draft timer that runs starting at 9 AM Central Time until 11 PM Central Time each day (Monday through Friday) Weekends and Labor Day drafting will be done without a timer so we may get a bunch of picks done or none.

Here are the important facts

Beginning on Tuesday, 9/8 we will be adopting a wave format for the rest of the draft. Please read carefully so you understand how this works. Each Round is 36 picks that are grouped into 6 groups of 6. At 6 designated times each day the rounds will be run. You can send a list or the draft picks will be done/announced live on slack. Each round will take no more than 10 minutes to complete. There will be no time allotted for talking trade etc. You have until your wave time hits to do all that. So be prepared or face the dreaded auto pick.

WAVES? WHAT? EXPLAIN?
All rounds after the Labor Day Holiday (Tuesday 9/8) are done via the wave method. That means, rather than each pick having an individual time slot, a series of picks have the same pick end time/date. You can continue to pick live on the boards as soon as the team ahead of you makes a selection, however, your pick must be made, you must be on slack OR you must have a list sent . Not doing any of these things and you will be autoed. To be safe you should always send a list.

Here is an example of what the top of each post for a round will look like

Wave #1 is in red and hits at 8 AM CST on 9/8.
Wave #2 is in blue and hits at 11 AM CST on 9/8
Wave #3 is in green and hits at 2 PM CST on 9/8.
Wave #4 is in white and hits at 5 PM CST on 9/8.
Wave #5 is in yellow and hits at 8 PM CST on 9/8.
Wave #6 is in pink and hits at 11 PM CST on 9/8.

Just so we are clear, here is an example of how this will work... if CSKA, Generals and Maccabi make their picks today, but the Lakers do not and the wave hits at 8 AM CST tomorrow morning, the Lakers, Raptors and Flamengo all must have lists sent via PM, be active on Slack at exactly 8 AM or they will be autoed. Those lists need to have at least enough names on them to take them to their selection (i.e., the Flamengo, in this instance, should have at least three players on their list)

In fact...we should be able to go through 12 picks at those times, not 6. Given it will be over in 10 minutes...Everyone should stay 20 minutes and pick twice as many.

So I have until 10CST on 9/3 to make my pick regardless of if it gets there tomorrow? I work M-F days so I need to know that I have until then and not some crazy time limit if it gets there early. Thanks

Technically, you have until whatever time your slots states.

We are hoping people that are not fairly readily available will respond to PM's that they are up as soon as possible and pick in advance or send a list as their pick gets within 5-10 picks so that we can move this thing along


So if you can find the time to make a list as your pick gets closer and PM it to Minneapolis and New York you would be doing the league a huge favor.
