Any GM would be thrilled to be handed a team with a dominant PG (Tony Parker) with the brightest of futures ahead, coupled with a great secondary piece that can dominant the paint defensively in Andre Drummond. J Rich is a player, that if he can play within the system and fill his role as an offensive weapon and keep the D honest may also have a bright future in NOLA.
First order of business would be to lock up Tony Parker before he decides to test the FA market.
Next would be to release/trade all players not named Tony/Andre, for the purpose of clearing cap to try and land a legit running mate for Parker. And if we strike out in FA, we will have cap space to work with on the trade market for that same purpose.
Our off season plans would be making sure Tony Parker is in the gym to reach his full potential, and getting Drummond in a camp to see if he can add some shot blocking skills to combine with his post defense.
What we would be looking to add? Well from what I can see the Jazz are lacking a big time post scorer (Drummond may develop into one eventually). They are also lacking badly on the boards (both ends of the floor) and they aren't generating enough steals for some easy fast break points, which can help out this so so offense.
The Jazz have a few hurdles to overcome, but with Tony Parker running the show, I am confident that I can put a team around him that can and will compete for multiple titles.
